St. Mary's Foundation shows appreciation

SPARTA - The Foundation of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church recently provided a festive fellowship hour in the church hall with a variety of wines and appetizers. The group then gathered in the sanctuary where they enjoyed a full musical program of 20 performances from local instrumental and vocal talent. The purpose of the event was to thank everyone for their support of the foundation which was established in January 1994 by the vestry and parish of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church to provide assistance to the members’ Planned Giving. The Winter Concert Celebration was to offer thanks to the many donors of the foundation and to recognize their contributions without which the foundation would not exist. The concert not only highlighted the musical gifts of the talent, but also showcased the $15,000 upgrade to the church’s historic pipe organ, the new sound system and the digital piano.
