Sparta trio plays Chopin

John and Sasha Korczynski, and Ben Katzen, all members of the Sussex County Music Workshop and residents of Sparta, recently presented an all Chopin program at Fox Hills in Rockaway. The program consisted primarily of Chopin’s chamber music. All three of the trio, in addition to performing, also teach in Sparta. The Korczynskis have plans for the future, which include a chamber music series in Sparta, continued performances of the trio as a group, and solo performances. On Sunday, Feb. 14, they performed at the Healing Haiti Fund Festival at Sparta High School, in the school’s newly opened auditorium.
