Skylands Stadium plans food truck frenzy

AUGUSTA — The All-New Skylands Stadium will host its first ever Food Truck Frenzy on Saturday, April 30. Sample a variety of delicious fare from the area’s best food trucks while enjoying great live music, games, giveaways, beer, wine, and more.
The event will take place at the All-New Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Place in Augusta, N.J., from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
General admission is $5; children 10 and under get in free. Admission includes access to food trucks, entertainment, and live music. Food trucks and vendors will sell food, drinks, and products at an additional cost. Parking is free.
The whole family can enjoy food and drinks from the area’s best food trucks. Taste ethnic cuisine such as beef, chicken, or cheese empanadas from Empanada Guy, or spicy Cajun from Mobile Mardi Gras. Valentina’s Colombia Cuisine offers “comfort food, the Italian way.” Or, stop by Romano’s Disco Fries for specialty fries, meatballs, and toasted ravioli.
Enjoy great food from around the region, including Jersey Johnny’s New York-style pizza and subs, or E&S Original Steak N Take, which boasts “the finest cheesesteaks around!”Coney Island Pizza will be serving up pizza and wings, wood-fired to perfection. Or, bite into an all-beef slider on a Hawaiian sweet roll at Taxi Cab Burger.
“Food trucks, all the rage in cities such as New York, are a hugely fun way to enjoy gourmet and comfort food,” said Nick Savva, director of Events at Skylands Stadium. “There are so many options, you’re sure to find something to satisfy your taste buds. With delicious food and live music, this event will be fun for the whole family.”
For dessert, Glazed & Confused will be stocked full of fresh mini donuts, or, cool down with Clyde’s Italian Ice.
Entertainment will include, Under A Ton, one of New Jersey’s best cover bands, playing everything from classic rock to country and pop, from the 70s to the present.
