Rock n' Roll band will play Wild West City

Byram The Quimby Mountain Band will bring its special brand of rock n’ roll to Wild West City on Friday, Aug. 7, starting at 9 p.m. The band features Bob Noble, on bass, Harry Noble and Matt Schmidt, on guitar, Jesse Bardwell, vocals, and Matt DePaolo, on drums. Noble and Schmidt are the lead song writers, but everybody chips in by the time tunes are finished products. Playing predominately originals, the band’s sound is multi-genre, with pieces of funk, blues, rock, reggae and soul mixed in. On its way to becoming a New Jersey festival favorite, the band has appeared at the Festival in the Borough in Washington and Peacock Palooza in Jersey City, with an upcoming date at the Skylands Music & Arts Festival. The band has opened up for a host of major acts, including New Riders of the Purple Sage, Keller Williams and The Radiators and has played at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. They also play college campuses, including Rutgers University. Tickets for the show are $7 each, but only $5 if you wear any kind of western attire.
