Readers who give

First-graders from Clifton E. Lawrence School in Sussex were proud to participate in Scholastic Book Clubs’ ClassroomsCare Program, a philanthropy-based literacy campaign designed to teach children about the joys of reading and giving. Students in Kathy Brown’s class read 100 books from October to Dec. 12 and in turn Scholastic Book Club will make a donation of new books to needy children through its six Literacy Partners.
