Open auditions for ‘Man of La Mancha' being held

Newton — Auditions will be open to the community, as well as students, for Sussex County Community College’s upcoming production of “Man of La Mancha,” on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. No appointment time is necessary. The auditions will be held in the Performing Arts Center at SCCC, One College Hill Road, Newton. As the cast includes vocalists of all ranges, individuals are asked to bring sheet music to the audition. An accompanist will be provided. Individuals may also be asked to do a cold reading. This production will run April 17 to 19 and April 24 to 26 and is co-sponsored by SCCC’s Liberal Arts and Cultural Affairs Departments and is under the direction of Dr. Peter Lubrecht, with musical direction by Annemarie Guenther.
