New Year's Eve party will feature the Rockaholics

Vernon — Mountain Creek will host New Year’s Eve festivities at the Appalachian Hotel, starting at 7 p.m. in the hotel lobby. There will be chips and soda for the youngsters. The bar will be open for all adults. There is no ticket price, but fees are charged for various items. At 9 p.m. hot appetizers will be served in the Hawks Nest conference room. The heated outdoor pool will be open until 12:30 a.m., so bring a bathing suit. The DC Bar will be outfitted with balloons and decorations, and the Rockaholics will play. The big screen TV will feature the famous ball drop at midnight. Other things happening for the whole family: • A jazz band, The Dogs, will perform in the lobby from 7 to 9 p.m. • Movie night for the kids, with shows starting at 7 and 9 p.m. • The game room will be set up in the owl room • Breakfast is included the following day • Masquerade dance party at Kink with safe shuttle transport Additional restaurants, bars and activities are a shuttle ride away provided by the Appalachian Hotel.
