Nature walk at Lusscroft Farm features pond life

WANTAGE — The Lusscroft Farm vernal ponds nature walk is scheduled for Sunday April 11 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The walk will begin at Turner Mansion located at 50 Nielson Rd. in Wantage. This walk will include visits to several vernal ponds to learn about the importance of these sites to the life cycle of amphibians such as frogs and salamanders, according to organizers. Casual and novice hikers are welcome. All hikers should wear appropriate shoes and clothing for hiking. This activity is sponsored by the Heritage and Agriculture Association, a volunteer group dedicated to the restoration of Lusscroft Farm located in High Point State Park.
