VERNON — Mountain Creek’s first Smoke’N Blues Jazz & Food Festival had a solid draw for music lovers and foodies.
The event was held on the resort’s great lawn beside the Red Tail Lodge. Entertainment included Bob Lanza, Unit 1, Big Fun(k), The Chuck Lambert Band, and Amber Rae and The Swinging Foxes. Hugh Reynolds, the resort’s director of marketing, said the afternoon drew more than they had hoped for with about 700 food and music lovers choosing the venue, which pleased him.
“It was a great event and we were happy to see so many families spending their holiday weekend with us and we hope this will be a regular annual event for years to come,” Reynolds said.
