Motorcycle run will tour county

    Lafayette — A motorcycle run will be held to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and “LEAF” on Saturday, May 22 beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the race starting at 11 a.m. The Motorcycle Run will be escorted by the New Jersey State Police and take riders on an hour and a half ride through Sussex County. The ride will begin and end at the Lafayette Elementary School, with a picnic to follow at 78 Beaver Run Rd. in Lafayette. A $25 fee is required for motorcycles with an additional $5 for guest riders. Additional donations are also accepted. The Wounded Warrior project is a non-for-profit organization that raises awareness and enlists the public’s help to assist severely injured service men and women and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members. LEAF (Lafayette Education Advancement Foundation) is a non-for-profit organization created to better the students and needs of Lafayette Elementary School. The rain date is Sunday, May 23.
