Monthly Singer Songwriter Showcase features local musicians
MONTAGUE — Mike Herz hosts the Monthly Singer Songwriter Showcase on Saturday, July 12 at 8 p.m. at High Point Golf Club's Music Lounge. Admission is free.
Every second Saturday of each month, a different host will be bringing several local area musicians to the Music Lounge Stage to play original material.
Mike Herz
Raised in rural Northwest, New Jersey, Herz grew up amongst fertile farmlands and majestic mountains. Recently, Herz was selected as a showcase performer at the Cape May Singer/Songwriter Conference. His song "If The Stars Align" was selected to be featured on the events compilation CD. In 2013 Herz was nominated by the Jersey Acoustic Music Awards in three separate categories — Top Male Songwriter, Top Folk/Americana Act and Top Single/ EP for "Graduation Day."
Kathy Moser
Moser has been in love with music and Planet Earth as long as she can remember. Her introduction to folk happened at Girl Scout camp, which led her to the coffeehouse scene.
An award-winning songwriter, engaging performer and passionate environmentalist, Moser is dedicated to bringing positive change to the world through music both on and off stage.

Kevin Kinsella
Kinsella is a singer/songwriter from Englewood, N.J. His original acoustic compositions span a wide variety of musical genres and styles, ranging from classic rock-influenced ballads, to acid country and blues, with a smattering of reggae thrown to keep you dancing.
Kinsella smoky vocal rasp calls to mind singers like Joe Cocker, Gregg Allman and Tom Waits combined with the gentler tones and soul of Van Morrison and David Gilmour.

Brian Milligram
Milligram has been playing, writing and performing songs for something close to 10 years, in some form or another. He grew up and currently still resides in Rockland County, N.Y. At 15, he picked up one of his mother's guitars and started playing it upside down, and haven't stopped playing since.
Milligram has played venues all over the tri-state area frequently at Tuscan Cafe, Nyack Village Theater and New York City venues.

Son of Dov (Dennis King)
From post-punk beginnings to melancholy daydreams, Son of Dov (Dennis King) is a singer/songwriter from Northwestern New Jersey. His indie/folksy delivery brings to mind artists such as, Ryan Adams and Elliot Smith while crafting his own path at the same time. His first offering, “Gone to Seed EP”, released in spring 2013 is available in both CD format and downloadable via noiestrade and bandcamp.
