| 20 Nov 2015 | 11:20

The Milton United Methodist Church will serve as a venue in the 10th annual Christmas in the Village event both on Friday Dec. 4, where the Jefferson Arts Committee will accept entries for the Gingerbread House Contest between 6 and 7 p.m. and, on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the historically designated Village of Milton.

The church is located at 316 Dover-Milton Road. Admission and parking are both free.

The church will host live entertainment in their church sanctuary including a 10 a.m. performance by its own Hand Bell Choir. At 11 A.M., the White Rock Elementary School Band will perform under the direction of Emily James, followed by The Jefferson Township Community Band under the direction of Pete Tummillo, performing their holiday concert “25 Years of Music” at noon — free will donation at the door is appreciated — with the Jefferson Township High School Band under the direction of Richard Barrieres following them at 1 p.m. The Arthur Stanlick Elementary School Band under the direction of Emily Jones will perform at 2 p.m., followed by the Jefferson Township Middle School Band under the direction of Lauren Kulick at 3 p.m.

The entries in the Arts Committee’s annual Gingerbread House Contest will be on display in the lobby of the Church and the winning houses will be tagged with award ribbons. Be sure to stop by between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to see these creative gingerbread houses.
