McGowan to offer free restoration advice

Gary McGowan of Cultural Preservation and Restoration Services of Blairstown will offer free advice pertaining to timeline and restoration possibilities on Sunday, July 19 at the Lafayette Mill Antiques Center. As conservator for the South Street Seaport Museum, McGowan worked on many of the objects unearthed in lower Manhattan during the 1970s and 1980s. An associate of the American Institute for the Conservation of Historical and Artistic Works, McGowan lists sculptural works and historic small arms restoration among his specialties.
