Local author launches Web site

Stanhope — Children’s author Diana Tuorto, of Stanhope, recently launched a new Web site at www.cayusecanyon.com. The site now allows readers to purchase Tuorto’s novels via PayPal. Tuorto is also offering a special holiday sale on her three horse novels. By visiting the site readers can purchase “My Desert Sun,” “Janie’s New Legs,” and “Luck of the Draw,” as a set for $25, which includes free shipping within the U.S. Personalized autographs are included. Separately, the books retail for $10 each. All of Tuorto’s novels have the distinction of being told from a different horse’s point of view. “I always loved ‘Black Beauty’ and wanted to keep that style alive,” Tuorto said. Fifty percent of the proceeds from each sale are donated to charities, including Mylestone Equine Rescue, Somerset Hills Handicapped Riding Center, ReRun, Return to Freedom and Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue. Tuorto recommends placing book orders by Dec. 10 to guarantee holiday delivery, which is being offered while supplies last.
