Library welcomes spring with flower art

WANTAGE A new exhibit of watercolor paintings by Joan M. Fox called Flower Power is on display during the month of May at The Wantage Library at 69 Route 639. Fox has been a Wantage resident for 35 years. She has exhibited her folk art paintings on wood and tin at the Sussex County Fair and won scores of ribbons. She also sold her acrylic folk art at many area craft fairs. She then turned to watercolor painting, taking classes with Toni Chaplin. Fox’s work will again be on display in August at the New Jersey State Fair in Augusta, where she will present a new batch of matted art on sale in the Art Show’s “Little Gallery.” Some of her current watercolors are also available for purchase at the Wantage Library this month. A multi-published romance author with a dozen books in e-book and paperback formats, Fox is a writer as well. Several of her books are currently available from the Sussex Library System. She also writes under her pseudonym Blaise Kilgallen. For more information visit blaisekilgallen.com or check her Facebook and My Space pages.
