West Milford — Bring a chair and a friend on Monday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. to the library lawn and learn about the life and artwork of Jasper F. Cropsey, famous for his idyllic paintings of West Milford, the Catskills, and the Hudson River Valley. Learn, too, about his ties to the township from West Milford Museum educator, Cassandra Demski. This free program takes place on the lawn or, in case of rain, at town hall. For more information, stop by the Adult Services desk at the library or call 973-728-2824. The library is located at 1490 Union Valley Road. Visit the library’s Web site at www.wmtl.org.
