Newton Medical Center will present the work of local artist and photographer Sue Miller, in an exhibit opening this month through January, at the hospital.

The exhibit, which will feature Miller's nature photography, including her noted images of swans, will open with a special event on Thursday, Oct. 17, from noon to 2 p.m.

The exhibit, located in the Healing Arts Gallery, in the hallway along the Charles L. Tice Heart Center for Diagnostic Services, will then be open to the public through Jan. 17.

A professional artist who has lived in Jefferson Township, for almost 30 years, Miller spent the first 20 years of her professional career in the commercial art field as an artist/art director in advertising. Miller draws much of her inspiration from the beautiful wildlife in the surrounding lakes and woods near her home. In addition to photography, her work also includes watercolor paintings.
