It's a black and blues weekend at Warwick Winery
Warwick, NY Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will host its Black and Blues weekend, Aug. 1 and 2. The festivities start on Saturday with Doc’s Blues and barbecue. Performers include Breakaway, The Petey Hop Band, The Reddan Brothers and Slam Allen. Expertly prepared barbecue chicken, pork and oysters will be available for purchase. Music and barbecue start at noon. Aug. 2 is Black Sunday - the winery’s tribute to the man in black, Johnny Cash, and his music. Black Sunday started five years ago to pay tribute to Johnny Cash and celebrate his life and music. Performers include Steve Lane, Tim O’Donohue, Larry Amato, Dave McKeon Band, and features The Kennedys as well as others. Come hear your favorite Johnny Cash songs as well as those obscure classics you never knew. The Winery’s bakery and café, Pané will be open serving delicious sandwiches and pizzas. The outdoor grill and barbecue will also be open. Tickets for each event are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
