Hundreds gather to run in annual 5k fundraiser

The annual Main Street 5K took place under sunny skies in great weather on Saturday. Starting and ending at The Field House at Sparta Athletic Club, the race drew about 650 participants, both runners and walkers. The first place male winner was Jeffrey Staple of Hamburg, while Tina Fleming of Newton finished first among the women runners. The money raised will benefit the Scleroderma Foundation.
