Hot wax paintings featured in exhibit

The Art Gallery at Sussex County Community College is hosting “Natural Affinities,” an exhibition of recent encaustic paintings, also known as hot wax paintings by artist Karen Nielsen-Fried, running Jan. 25 through Feb. 5. An opening artist’s reception will be held on Friday, Jan. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. The gallery is open during school hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9 to noon.
