VERNON-The Highland Stage is presenting a Cabaret Entertainment with Spaghetti Dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Route 94 in Vernon. The Cabaret will feature a spaghetti dinner provided by the company's board of directors, including salad and dressings, dessert, coffee, soda, and tea. Patrons are free to bring bottles of wine. Entertainment is provided by singers and musicians who have performed for the company in the past several years. These include young singers from this past summer's two musicals, and adult performers from plays and musicals over the past several seasons, along with the very capable pit band from this past summer. Commitments have been made by Faith Anderson, Jon Hartlage, Kelly Barfoot, Amy Easton, Joe Conti, Katie Lee, and both June and Jordan Tarantino, among others. The event will feature three numbers from a professional revue featuring Faith Anderson, and another three numbers from the company's recent summer youth production of "Anything Goes." All performers, both amateur and professional, are donating their time for this fund raising event. The nonprofit company is without a home for its eighth season of plays and is in discussion with several agencies regarding a new temporary residency home and a place to build a new theatre/arts center. In the meantime, it is seeking to raise funds to reduce its debt and to pursue its production future. Tickets for the benefit event are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets are available in advance from board members, at Holy Counselor Lutheran Church, and at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Holy Counselor can be reached at 973-827-5251; St. Thomas can be reached at 973-764-7506. For further information, call the company at 973-875-3039.
