Guitarist Roni Ben-Hur performing Sunday at Jazz Room series

Wayne - Guitarist Roni Ben-Hur will perform at William Paterson University in Wayne on Sunday, March 1, as part of the spring Jazz Room series. Year by year, virtuoso guitarist Ben-Hur has been building an increasingly stellar reputation since he first migrated from his native Israel to New York City in 1985. A passionate leader, player, composer-arranger, published author, and respected educator, Ben-Hur now stands as one of the elite players in modern jazz. Known for his impeccable swing, Ben-Hur’s seventh CD, Fortuna, will be released in May. His most recent release, Smile, a duet performance with guitar master Gene Bertoncini, quickly climbed the JazzWeek charts and received glowing reviews. Launched in 1978, The Jazz Room is one of the most prestigious college-sponsored jazz events in the country.
