Everybody has some Irish!

A sea of green, accented by blue skies, washed over Spring Street in Newton on Saturday, March 20. Spectators came out in droves to enjoy the seventh annual Sussex County St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Patrick J. Fitzgibbons of Ogdensburg was this year’s Grand Marshall. Dignitaries, bands, fire trucks, local boy and girl scouts and other organizations marched down the streets of Newton waving, entertaining and throwing candies at eager children. Sussex County St. Patrick’s Day Committee organizes the annual event.
