Concert season starts at Wild West

Byram Township — Grip Weeds, a pop quartet, will kick off the monthly concert season at Wild West City on Friday, May 21 at 9 p.m. The Grip Weeds, on the verge of releasing a new album, “Strange Change Machine,” are a critically acclaimed psychedelic rock/power group consisting of brothers Kurt and Rick Reil (on drums and guitar respectively), Kristin Pinell (guitar) and Michael Kelly (bass). Throughout the spring and into the fall, the theme park’s Golden Nugget Saloon will transform into a concert venue generally on the third Friday of every month. Upcoming shows include Quimby Mountain Band and Catepillar Book on June 18 and Gentlemen’s Club and Thick Leather Brick on July 16.
