Wayne — William Paterson University’s Vistas Series Family Scene will present the classic musical “The Little Mermaid” on Saturday, March 27, on the University’s campus in Wayne. The production will be presented by American Family Theater, the nation’s leading theater for family audiences. The performance will be held at 2 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus. Tickets are $9. Come early for fun pre-show activities included with admission beginning at 1:15 p.m.; the production will be followed by a post-show autograph session. This lively musical, loosely based on the Hans Christian Andersen story, chronicles the adventures of Mera, the little mermaid with the most beautiful singing voice under the sea. Bored with her underwater surroundings, she yearns to be completely human and live on land - especially after meeting the handsome Prince Edmond, whom she carries to safety after a violent storm. The plot thickens as Mera strikes a deal with the evil Sea Witch to win the Prince’s heart. How will Mera foil the Sea Witch and win her prince forever?
