Civil War movie night will feature indy film

    NEWTON — The Col. Henry Ryerson Civil War Round Table’s fourth annual Civil War Movie Night will feature “Wicked Spring,” a Lion Heart Film Works independent film production directed by Kevin R. Hershberger, on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The story unfolds over a single night as six soldiers lost in the burning woods of the May 1864 Battle of the Wilderness must struggle together to survive. The Battle of the Wilderness involved 175,000 men (with over 25,000 causalities), and was the start of Grant’s Overland Campaign against Lee that would finally end almost a year later at Appomattox. This award winning movie was released on DVD in 2003. It received Best Director and Best Action Feature at the 2002 New York International Independent Film Festival.
