Cartoonist at library

    Vernon — Nationally syndicated editorial cartoonist, Jimmy Margulies, will show and discuss his cartoons at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, at the public library in Vernon. Margulies won the 2007 and 2008 Clarion Award for editorial cartoons from the The Association for Women in Communications, as well as the 2005 Berry Award for editorial cartoons from the The National Press Foundation of Washington, DC. Admission is free with a reception to follow. The program is suitable for teens and adults. The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Library, Dorothy E. Henry Branch, and will take place in the Community Room of the library.
