Calling kid, teen and adult actors

Pompton Lakes — Smiling Rhino Theatre will hold auditions for two upcoming performances. The first audition will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 19 and 20, for “Annie Jr.” This audition is for children and teens, ages 7 to 17. There will be two casts and the performances will be on Oct. 2, 3 and 4. Those auditioning should bring a headshot, and be prepared to sing a song that shows range and personality. There will also be reading from the script and a movement audition. The second audition will be for “Guys and Dolls” on Sunday and Monday, Aug. 30 and 31, from 7 to 9 p.m. Shows will be on Nov. 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22. This is an adult cast and Smiling Rhino Theatre’s season opening performance. All roles are open. Those auditioning should bring sheet music, resume and a headshot, and be prepared to sing a song that shows vocal range and personality. There will be readings from the script and a dance audition.
