AUGUSTA — Cowboys and cowgirls from across the United States and South America participated in the two-day Green Valley Farms Rodeo that began Friday at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. Green Valley Farms is located in Wantage and the fairgrounds are located in Augusta.
A rodeo is a sporting event that involves horses and other livestock, designed to test the skill and speed of the cowboys and cowgirls. Barrel racing, bronc and bull riding were part of the event.
The rodeo is part of numerous events going on at the fairgrounds during the first week of August.
