‘Damn Yankees’ comes to West Milford West Milford — What could be better timing than performing the Broadway musical “Damn Yankees” at West Milford High School, just months after the New York Yankees won the 2009 World Series? It’s true! In 1957, the Washington Senators were at the height of their frustration until a middle-aged real estate salesman and baseball fanatic, Joe Boyd, trades his soul to the Devil for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. Including favorites such as “You’ve Gotta Have Heart” and “Whatever Lola Wants,” “Damn Yankees” is sure to be a hit in West Milford. It will be performed at West Milford High School Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25 through 27. Tickets can be purchased at the high school ticket window on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and at ShopRite, Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For reservations through the ticket hotline, call 973-697-1701 ext. 7012.
