A fairy tale comes to life

High Point actors put on ‘Cinderella’ , By Keri Rand Wantage — Vibrant costumes, detailed sets, well-rehearsed lines and practiced singing were the hallmarks of the beautiful songs consumed the stage. Audience members were escorted to their seats by cast members dressed as villagers. Audiences left humming the popular tunes with big smiles on their faces. The production ws directed by Theresa Riccardi. Junior Kellen Wittrien starred as Cinderella and senior Matt Ciuffitelli as Prince Charming. Senior Justine Doherty played Queen Constantina; senior Jesse Oberg was King Maximillian, senior Louis Pieri was Lionel, senior Saskia Niehoff played the Stepmother. Juniors Kelly Osborne and Krystina Kattermann played the Stepsisters; sophomore Jackie Torres played the Fairy Godmother and a large ensemble of actors, singers and dancers made up of students in all grades played a variety of roles, such as the white mice, villagers, merchants, maidens and palace guests. Faculty members joined the cast, too.
