Hardsyton. Recently, Wallkill Valley Girl Scout Troop 96849 took a contingent of Girl Scouts to Washington DC. The girls experienced tours of the National Archives, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the newly-opened Washington Monument, many of the Smithsonian Museums and the Capitol, as well as an evening tour of all the memorials throughout the city. The highlight of the trip was when the girls were able to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
