Dorothy A. Merullo of Wharton, N.J., passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville. She was 88.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., to the late Harry and Dorothy (Ryan) Peterson, Mrs. Merullo lived in Hamburg, N.J., before moving to Wharton 15 years ago. She had been employed as an manager for the woman’s department at the former Shelby’s Store in Newton, N.J., before her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah “Calli” Ryan of Vernon, N.J.; grandson, Brody Ryan of Vernon; and great-grandchildren, Sky Celeste and Maeve Noel.
Memorial services were held April 21 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, Sussex, N.J. Visitation was held prior to the service at the funeral home.
