David John Beverley of Hardyston, N.J., departed this world for his heavenly home on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. He was 75.

He was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Sale, England. David immigrated to the U.S. in 1961.

David honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War (1966-1967). In 2014, the Veterans Administration awarded him a 100 percent disability based on his service related illnesses.

David’s greatest passion in life was his family. He was a loyal husband for 52 years. David and Sheila found great joy spending time with one another. David worked hard to provide for his family at Allied Beverage for 25 years before retiring in 2010. He was a Teamster and Shop Steward. He fought for the teamsters and led strikes for better contracts. David was a fighter.

David is survived by his loving wife, Sheila, and three daughters, Tara of Lancaster, Pa., Cristin of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Anne of Hardyston. David will also be forever remembered by his grandchildren, Erin, Jacob, Jessica, Alicia, Nicholas, Alyssa, Jayden, Leah, and Jackson.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Jan. 5 at the Church of St. Jude The Apostle, Hardyston, with Monsignor James O’Rorke presiding. Private interment immediately followed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
