Runner up Anthony Andersen: Saint Jude’s Children’s hospital
CHESTER — Earlier this month a winner was announced for Straus News’s No Shave November Contest.
More than 2,600 votes were cast, and Thomas Walker ended up with the winning beard. The contest, which was sponsored by Horizon Family Medical, offered $100 to the winner plus $100 for the charity of their choice.
In addition to choosing The American Legion as his charity, Thomas chose to donate his own $100 winnings to the charity of the runner-up, Anthony Andersen, who chose Saint Jude’s Children’s hospital.
