Lakeland Pools & Spas would like to announce that they are holding their 6th Annual Toy Drive now through July 29 in Loving Memory of Harrison Shauger.

Harrison was born on Aug. 2, 2006, with a Congenital Heart Defect knows as Tetralogy of Fallot. Harrison was well-known at the store, in school and around the community for his giant smile and silly demeanor that would steal the hearts of everyone he came in contact with. Harrison sadly lost his battle with his heart condition on March 26, 2013 after multiple surgeries and cardiac catheterizations.

The toy drive is in honor of Harrisons 12th birthday this year. Last year the toy drive took in 1236 toys that were then donated to the Pediatric Center for Heart Disease in Hackensack. Harrison made frequent visits to this very office for heart checks. Every visit he made, he always walked out with a smile and toy in hand as they always had a little something to give to him at the end of his visit. The Shauger family would like to continue putting smiles on these precious children who battle heart disease everyday by doing these donations every year for Harrsion’s birthday.

New toys (no stuffed animals please) for ages newborn to teen can now be dropped off at multiple locations again this year until July 29th: IN VERNON: Lakeland Pools & Spas 257 Route 94, Vernon Valley Karate Academy 3 Theta Drive, Advocare Vernon Pediatrics 249 Route 94, Vernon Valley Auto Body 3 Warren Drive.
