Summer Reading is coming to a close with fun programs, and prizes to be awarded at every branch.
Aug. 7-12 is the last week of active reading. Logs can be turned in for stickers, small prizes and raffle tickets through August 12. Raffle winners will be chosen and announced the following week.
Each branch also hosts a special closing program. On Friday, Aug. 4, Sciencetellers will delight audiences of all ages with an action-packed adventure about a crew of quirky pirates lost at sea. Sciencetellers bring their unique blend of storytelling and science to the Dorothy Henry Branch in Vernon at 10 a.m.; the Dennis Branch in Newton at 1 p.m.; and end the day at the Franklin Branch in Franklin at 3 p.m.
On Saturday, Aug. 5, Rizzo’s Reptiles will share their wide assortment of creepy yet cuddly creatures at the Louise Childs Branch in Stanhope at 11:00 a.m.; the Sussex-Wantage Branch in Wantage at 1 p.m.; and the Main Library in Frankford at 3 p.m.
Registration is underway through the Events link at sussexcountylibrary.org or by visiting or calling your local branch.
