FBLA hosts prom for senior citizens

The Wallkill Valley Regional High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) hosted a Senior Citizens’ Prom on April 28, in the high school cafeteria from 6- p.m.
More than 120 senior citizens attended.
The cafeteria was decorated in a 50’s theme. FBLA member and Co-President Kayla Bifano did an outstanding job as Chairperson for the event; she was assisted by Parliamentarian Zach Dora. The following additional FBLA members contributed food and helped with setup, decorations, serving, cleanup, and, of course, dancing with the seniors: Harshil Bhavsar, Matt Brady, Autumn Card, Erin Christmas, Lauren Corrado, Evan Faner, Kelley Finn, Randi Lyn Hornyak, Casey Johansson, Garett Koch, Ryan Kostelnik, Lindsay Kromitz, Mackenzie Lally, Drew Langenfeld, Leo Lorenzetti, Michael Majewsky, Brianna Millier, Emma McGuire, Ryan McGuire, John Mueller, Scott Mueller, Ryan Nugent, Lia Pila, Ana Schroeder, Tyler Small, Amanda Spindler, Santasia Whetham-Denton, and Madison Yodice.
Franklin Walgreens, provided health information and free gifts to the senior citizens. Door prizes were awarded; and Mrs. Dawn Boyce and Mr. Allen Sisco were crowned the Prom Queen and King. One of the guests, Mrs. Ida Swayze, sang several beautiful renditions of familiar tunes.
