Alexander promoted at Highlands bank

VERNON — Mary Alexander has been promoted to vice president of operations at Highlands State Bank.
Alexander has more than 20 years in banking. She began as a teller and moved up through the retail/branch side to assistant branch manager before moving to operations. Mary came to Highlands State Bank in 2009 through the merge with Nobie Community Bank; where she was since 2006 in the position of Assistant Branch Manager moving to Operations in 2007.
Currently, Alexander is responsible for the daily functions of the Operations Department as well as maintaining many of the department's policies and procedures. Mary is also responsible for levies and subpoenas, Internet Banking and assisting with IT.
Her past experience includes Assistant Branch Manager at National Bank of Sussex County (now part of Lakeland) and Member Services Representative, for deposits and loans, at Tri-Co Federal Credit Union.
