Lawrence J. Conklin

Lawrence J. Conklin, 88 years old, died after a short illness at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, Fredon Twp., N.J., on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Born to Andrew and Lina Conklin in Hurdtown, N.J., he has been a local resident all of his life.
Lawrence served with the United States Army during the Korean War and then worked as a loader operator for Hamburg Quarry for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching old movies and was a doting husband, father and grandfather.
Lawrence is the beloved husband for 52 years of Rose Conklin(nee Nielsen) of Franklin, NJ. Devoted father of Troy A. Conklin and his wife, Anne Marie of Mechanicsville, N.Y., Shaun E. Conklin of Shamokin, Pa., and Dawn M. Riker and her husband, Kevin, of Milford, Pa. Cherished by 11 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
