Group offers conversation classes

    Literacy New Jersey — Sussex Branch, together with Sparta Library, will offer more Conversation Classes.
    In the classes, adults from different countries talk about many different topics, with the assistance of a specialist from the Sussex branch. They become more comfortable and more successful in using English.
    Two classes will be offered, in the basement of the Sparta Library (22 Woodport Road, Sparta).
    Health Literacy: Tuesdays 5:30-8 p.m. from Jan. 10 thorugh March 28. Conversations will cover topics such as visiting the doctor or pharmacist, reading medicine labels, healthy eating .
    English Conversation Group: Mondays 5:30-8 p.m., Jan. 23 through April 17. This group will talk about many subjects, such as food, shopping, American customs, holidays, how to deal with repairmen, and more.
    People who have participated in such groups have found it fun, while they learned a lot and made new friends.
