Shoptique is a place for serious shoppers

Along Route 515, in the heart of Vernon, one finds Jen Ruffo's multi-room, two level consignment boutique.
There she sells: antique, vintage, collectibles, home décor, a huge selection of jewelry, purses, and clothing for the whole family — from infant to plus size, including men, women, and children.
Ruffo said everything is at a good price right now for Christmas presents, with 20 percent off during the holiday season.
New merchandise arrives daily, because the public regularly brings items for consignment. Ruffo also pays directly for items, right on the spot, instead of waiting for consignment sales.
“I have something for everyone,” she said, especially for people looking for anything unusual.
Ruffo's large quantities of items are merchandised in a manner for shoppers to discover exactly what they desire. She has a holiday room, antique room, vintage room, junk room, designer room, and second floor full of clothing.
For skiers, Ruffo has snowboards, skis, and ski boots. She also sells play station games, including Nintendo 64, and even musical instruments.
Ruffo wants men to know her store is not just for women. In her “vintage man cave,” one finds items such as vintage Coca-Cola bottles, with Coca-Cola still in them. She also has a framed and signed Giant's jersey.
Among the items in the antique room, one finds a caned chair, an enormous holder for many bottles of wine, a precious American flag table, lovely pieces of art, and a Raggedy Ann Doll.
Upstairs, clothes are arranged, including formal dresses, winter coats, shoes, scarves, all for kids, men, and women.
One shopper commented, “There's a whole bunch of stuff here. Now, the way she's starting to display, spread it out, and merchandise has made a big difference.”
Ruffo said, people have spent four hours shopping in her boutique.
“You could spend all day in here,” she said, adding that one lady spent eight hours, just shopping, and they became best friends. Ruffo actually kept her from smoking, because she was shopping so much.
Finally, Ruffo noted, “It's like a museum. It's just like a lot of stuff. Unique items and variety.” She said, she has always been interested in antique, vintage, and collectibles; and so Shoptique began a year ago, in over a 3,000 square foot space."
