Ogdensburg students re-enact strike

OGDENSBURG — Matthew Grogaard and Ryan Morgan from Ogdensburg Elementary School and their seventh-grade Cinema class re-enact a newsboy protest from the movie Newsies.
The brand new Cinema class watches and analyzes classic movies from different time periods and genres to identify the important impact movies have had on society. The students were re-enacting how the New York City newsboys and girls, or newsies, organized a city wide protest for fair wages in 1899.
