Robety Steffy

Robert Steffy, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 30, 2016. Son of Frederick D. and Mae Sprague Steffy, he was a lifelong resident of Sussex County.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army during WWII in Europe and later in the Pacific, before being honorably discharged in 1946. Robert was an independent trucker for many years and later a diesel mechanic before retiring. A quiet man and hard worker, he will be missed and cherished.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Alleta Joyce Lockburner and son, Robert Kevin, and daughter, Donna Joyce Steffy of Hardyston Twp., N.J., brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Carol Jean (McDole) of Hamburg, N.J., and Ralph and Dorothy (Smith) of Branchville, N.J., as well as a niece, Sandra and nephews, Michael and Kenneth.
