Wask crowned Queen of the Fair

AUGUSTA — Miss Wantage Kelly Wask, a 2016 High Point Regional High School graduate, was crowned Queen of the Fair on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Sussex County Fairgrounds.
Wask beat out 20 other contestants from throughout Sussex County. The 2015 Queen of the Fair, Aimee Buchanan, of Sparta Township, New Jersey presented Wask with a crown and scepter.
Fellow contestants Miss Sparta Caitlyn Lyons was named first runner-up. Second runner-up was Miss Fredon Morgan Lacken. Miss Sandyston Madison Bussow won People's Choice. The Queen of the Fair semifinalists were Miss Hampton Tasha Wehrenberg, Miss Ogdensburg Samantha Hutnick and Miss Stanhope Shelby Loftis.
Prize money for the pageant included an $800 check for the Queen of the Fair, $500 for the first runner-up and and $300 for the second runner-up. The People's Choice contestant, receives a $75 check and qualifies as an automatic semifinalist.
