Boy Scouts go on camping trip

Franklin Boy Scout Troop 90 took a contingent of scouts on a cabin camping trip to Alpine State Park.
The troop arrived Friday night and set up the cabin. Saturday morning the boys woke up, cooked a pancake breakfast, and embarked on a 12-mile hike along the Palisades Interstate Trail along the scenic shores of the Delaware River overlooking the views of New York City. The troop packed a backpack lunch and ate along the trail. When it returned to the campground the boys went to the archery and BB gun range.
Upon returning to the cabin, the troop cooked dinner in the fire place, which included dutch oven taco pie and apple cobbler for dessert. After dinner and dessert, the boys sat together, talked about the day’s activities, and discussed what they liked about the trip and activities, with the troop mainstay of Rose, Bud, and Thorn.
This is where each boy and adult told what they liked about the trip, what they did not like, and what they are looking forward to.
Sunday morning, Troop 90 cleaned the cabin better than they found it and departed for their trip back to Franklin.
