Hamburg School Holds PRIDE Assembly

Graduating eighth-grade upperclassman Krystian Kipp, was well-applauded as he addressed his fellow and underclassmen.

The Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship can be seen on the stage behind the students.

Students of the eighth and third grades share þÄúhigh fivesþÄù during last Thursdays program at Hamburg School.

Standing behind the podium, Hamburg SchoolþÄôs Chief School Administrator Roger Jinks, Jr. called students to the front of the room and recognized them for being named in their classes respective honor rolls.

The students surpassed their goal of 1,000 reading points and reached 1,449. One sign included the number of points and the other declared "We Won."

HAMBURG — A recurring theme at Hamburg School is the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
Last Thursday, the school held a special PRIDE assembly with “responsibility” as its theme.
The assembly included interaction between first and fifth grade students as well as between third- and eighth-grade students.
Students also were called to the front of the room and recognized for being named in their classes respective honor rolls for the school’s third marking period.
Students at the school are also trying to aid citizens of Ecuador following the recent catastrophic earthquake.
