    Madeline T. Swiss (nee Chorney) following a short illness, peacefully went home to the Lord on Tuesday May 10, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family. Madeline was born in Ogdensburg and has been a resident of Franklin since 1945. She was born on Nov. 17, 1921, to the late Joseph T. and Mary (nee Yurecsko) Chorney.
    She was a homemaker. Madeline was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1938. She worked at Picatinny Arsenal during WW II. She was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception RC Church. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles and tending her flower beds.
    Madeline was predeceased by her husband Stephen J. Swiss in 1975 and her two sisters, Katherine Ganong in 2002 and Mary Nowak in 2008.
    A mother of nine and Matriarch of the Swiss Family, Madeline was a devout Roman Catholic. Madeline is survived by her nine children, Stephen Swiss and his wife Winifred of Randolph, Robert Swiss of Ogdensburg, Joan Swiss of Cape Coral, Fla., Richard Swiss Ogdensburg, John Swiss of Franklin, Jerry Swiss and his wife Jean of Rancho Sante Fe, Calif., Anne Hessler and her husband, Theodore, of Hardyston Twp, Mary Hammell and her husband Brent of Fredon, and Madeline SanFillipo and her husband Dean of Newton, and her 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
    Relatives and friends were invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at 10Am at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, NJ on Saturday May 14, 2016, committal and interment service at St. Thomas Cemetery, Ogdensburg, NJ.
