    Gabrielle Guilarte of Oak Ridge earned a bachelor of science in animal science from Delware Valley University in December 2015.
    Justin Luime of Oak Ridge has been named to the dean's list at rowan University for the fall 2015 semeter.
    This honor is bestowed upon those who have 3.45 cumulative grade point average or better for a given term.
    Michael Competiello, a senior digital communications major from Oak Ridge presented his film project on Carmike Cinema Center in downtown Williamsport, Pa., on April 8.
    Each film, created as part of five students' senior projects, represents a variety of topics and genres and typically lasts about 12 minutes.
    Connor Luime has been recognized by Rohan University as apresident's scholar of excellence for the fall 2015 semester.
    This honor is bestowed on full time, matriculated undergraduate students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 for a given term.
    He is studying in the School of Biomedical Science and Health, majoring in Health and Excercise Science.
    Aileen Koch of Franklin was recently inducted into Phi Alpha Epsilon at Lebanon Valley College during the College's annual Inquiry celebration.
    Koch, a graduate of Wallkill Valley Regional High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts in music education and music at The Valley.
    She also will be recognized as a Green Dot ambassador at Commencement.
    Membership is limited to senior students who have achieved a 3.6 GPA, completed 24 credits of LVC coursework, and earned a bronze, silver, or gold community service award.
    Samantha McCurry, a current junior at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., and 2014 graduate of Wallkill Valley Regional High School, was elected the 2016-17 Virginia State Vice President of Communications at the recent 2016 Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference in Glen Allen, Va.
    McCurry was the 2013-14 President of Wallkill Valley Regional High School Future Business Leaders of America.
    She has served as George Mason University’s PBL President this past year and is also the President-elect for the 2016-2017 year.
    In addition to being elected the State Vice President of Communications, Samantha also placed first in the state for judicial administration, and her Community Service Project, March of Dimes Banquet for Babies, also placed first in the state.
    Daniel Whitehead of Oak Ridge was one of 16 Stvenson University students chosen to be an Orientation Welcome Leader for the summer 2016 semester.
    Orientation and Welcome Leaders (OWLs) serve as the face of Stevenson, giving tours to prospective students and interacting with daily admissions visitors throughout the summer. In addition, OWLs are a pivotal component to the transition to college life for incoming students through their work in the Office of Academic Support, Student Activities, and Admissions.
    Daniel Brown, a junior biology/secondary education major from Oak Ridge, received the Albright College's Patricia Shearer mertz Teaching Education Award.
    Haleigh McBride of Oak Ridge was among the 48 University of Scranton students inducted into Beta Beta Beta, the national honor society for biology.
    For induction into the honor society, students must have completed at least three biology courses, maintained at least a 3.0 grade point average in biology, and be in good academic standing at the University.
