Watercolor workshops planned in Lafayette

    Wendy Stamer, a well-known nature artist from Sparta, will be leading a series of three workshops in watercolors in May at the Unity Church in Lafayette.
    The workshops will be held on Saturdays, noon to 3:30 on May 7, 14, and 21. Some experience with watercolor painting is preferred. In each class, a different painting will be completed, and participants can choose to attend 1, 2 or all 3 workshops at $40 per session.

    Stamer is especially well-known for her depictions of Sussex County scenes including vintage barns, birds, deer and views of the rolling hills of our county. Stamer’s work is included in the corporate collections of Franklin Mutual Insurance and Thor Labs. Her paintings may also be viewed at the Millside Café in Lafayette and at the offices of Drs. Panicucci and Ouimette in Sparta.
